Want to hear the coolest thing ever?
On Monday, September 23, I will join a couple hundred Boston yogis for a sunset yoga class in historic Fenway Park, as part of FenwaYoga to support the Boston Red Sox Foundation. My goal is to fundraise $250 to support youth programs such as scholarships for intelligently talented, but economically challenged students, as well as programs that use baseball and softball to instill the values of teamwork, tolerance, respect, and conflict resolution.
Awesome, right? So. Pumped.
I have to say, Fenway has got it figured out... in recent years they have opened the stadium for outstanding concerts (Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z, anyone?), movie screenings (like the Sandlot tomorrow night!), and yoga classes like this one. Through their partnership with Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund, awesome events like Fenway Fantasy Day and the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon also raise millions to support cancer research and patient care, too.
See?! Being a Red Sox fan is cool and good for the world.
